Courtenay Allyn, Head Gardener

Courtenay grew up on a multigenerational farm, and spent much of her life outdoors. She performed a wide range of tasks related to fruit and vegetable production, processing and sales, as well as animal husbandry. Her passion for flower gardening began nearly 40 years ago, and she’s been working in the formal flower gardens at Stone Acres for 13 years. She’s married, has a grown son, has owned and operated a small breakfast and lunch restaurant, earned an MSW from UCONN, and has a ceaseless passion for learning.
